The Face Behind Borza’s
Growing up, I was surrounded by Hungarian cooking and culture. My project is focused on my great-grandmother Borza, who grew up in Veszprem, Hungary, during the 1920s and immigrated to the United States when she was only 19 years old. She immigrated to New York through Ellis Island and worked as a chef, where she gained her love of food.
